Isaiah 48:11

For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this.
How can I let myself be defamed?
I will not yield my glory to another.

Since God doesn't yield His glory to another, that explains why life is so impossibly tough when we do anything to steal His glory (i.e., putting self, others, or things above Him).
